Winterising my caravan

Well its the end of the season now so my van is packed up for winter, hopefully all sealed and damp proof for the next few months, my final job was to replace any screws not replaced during the sealing process with stainless steel screws.

The packing up of the van involved the stacking of cushions down the aisle, all cupboards left open and three substantial trays of cat litter placed front, middle and rear of the van to soak up any condensation over the winter months, also the removal of the plug in the carver heater and draining of all the water from the pipes and toilet system, hopefully this will prevent damage to the plumbing system if it gets really cold over the coming months. The final touch was the jacking up of the rear steadies and lowering the front to prevent any standing water on the roof, hopefully I'll return to a completely dry van sometime in April.

I've two jobs left to do in the spring, replacing the window seals all round as the original seals are becoming brittle with age and I've decided on a complete refurb of the bathroom in the spring, watch this space you part-time gypsies, I'm not finished yet.
